IBPS Regional Rural Banks Recruitment Notification 2012-IBPS CWE for Gramin Banks

IBPS is back is the news with a bang as it had issued the Recruitment
Notification for the Selection of Assistants and Officers in Regional
Rural Banks (RRB's).There are 82 Regional Rural Banks that are
participating in the Common Written Exam (CWE) to be conducted by
IBPS.This System of Common Written Exam is approved by the Government
of India and is being supervised by NABARD

The IBPS RRB Notification 2012 is published online at the IBPS
Official Website www.ibps.in

Interested students who wish to apply for Jobs in Regional Rural Banks
(RRB's) must carefully go through the Detailed IBPS RRB Notification
2012 and if they satisfy the eligibility criteria, in terms of Age,
Educational Qualifications etc, then they must apply for IBPS RRB
Recruitment 2012 before the last date ie 25th June, 2012.

Time Line for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2012


As mentioned in the IBPS RRB Notification 2012, the starting date to
apply for Online Registration is 1st June, 2012 and the last date to
apply for Online Registration is 25th June, 2012.

Dates for Payment of Application fees:

i) Online: 1st June, 2012 to 25th June, 2012

ii) Offline: 4th June, 2012 to 30th June, 2012

Dates for Common Written Exam:

i) For Officers: 2nd September, 2012

ii) For Assistants: 9th September, 2012

Why there is a need for CWE for Regional Rural Banks ?

There had been virtually no hiring in Regional Rural Banks since 1990
and the RRB's are facing huge shortage of employees.
The work load in these bank have increased manifold
Large Scale retirement of existing employees in the coming 2-3 years


How the IBPS CWE for RRB's will work ?


If you are new to concept of IBPS Common Written Exams (CWE), then the
below mentioned lines will clear your doubts and clarify the concept
of IBPS CWE for RRB's

Previously the Recruitment is banks are conducted by each bank
individually.This process is very time consuming and causes wastage of
money as candidates will have to apply for each of the bank's
individually.In order to overcome these problems, the concept of CWE's
was introduced.
As, the name suggests, CWE is a Common Written exam that is conducted
by IBPS on the behalf of Regional Rural Bank's.
The successful candidates in the IBPS CWE for RRB's will be issued
scorecards based on which they can apply for Jobs in Rural Banks.
RRB's will have their own eligibility criteria, so merely passing the
IBPS exam doesn't guarantee that you are eligible for jobs in RRB's.
RRB's will invite applications from the successful candidates in the
IBPS RRB Exam 2012.These candidates will then have to appear for
Interviews in the RRB's.
The Final Selection is done by adding the marks of the Interview and
IBPS RRB Score taken together.
