AICTE conducts National Level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) twice a year for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in management programmes approved by AICTE.

CMAT 2015 First Test Notification

The official notification by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) regarding first test of CMAT 2015 announced on 3 July 2014. The schedule for conducting First Test of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for admission for academic year 2015-16 is given below. The candidates who appear in CMAT (First Test) may also appear for Second Test and better of two scores will be used for admission for 2015-16.

The notifications issued by the respective State Governments and admission authorities of Universities are available on website www.aicte-cmat.in

All aspiring candidates should apply early to secure their choice for date and city for appearing in the test.

CMAT Eligibility

Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for 2015 can apply for CMAT online.

CMAT 2015 Registration

  • Online from 3 July 2014 on website www.aicte-cmat.in
  • Choice of 3 dates and 3 cities of India for online examination in the order of preference.
  • Allotment will be based on first come first served. Actual allotment however will be subject to availability of the slots in a particular city.

Mode of Payment

  • Net Banking / Credit / Debit Card: Online through www.aicte-cmat.in
  • Cash Payment: Through challan generated online and Cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of India

Important :

  • Expected Duration of the CMAT: 3 hours (180 minutes).
  • Expected Time per section in CMAT: 45 minutes.
  • Marking Scheme for CMAT: 4 marks per correct answer.
  • Incorrect answers will carry a penalty of 1 mark.

Admission Process:

  • The detailed merit list will be provided to the respective State Government for allotting the students through central counseling or otherwise as per their notified admission procedure
  • In case there is no central counseling, scores awarded will be used for admission in the AICTE approved institutes/University departments.
