Eamcet last date extended
The last date for submission of Eamcet-2010 applications has been extended up to April 9 in view of disturbances in the Old City. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, vice-chancellor and chairman of Eamcet-2010 D N Reddy said the last date for receiving filled-in applications with a late fee of Rs 100 is April 15, with Rs 1,000 fine April 21. He said sale of Eamcet applications at all head post offices, main branches of Andhra Bank and eSeva centres will continue till April 21. However, there is no change of exam schedule announced earlier.
No water supply
There will be no water supply in some areas on April 6 and delayed supply on April 7 due to replacement of water pipelines and formation of six-lane approach road for Outer Ring Road at Kokapet village. The areas to be affected are AP Secretariat, Legislative Assembly, New MLA quarters, Red Hills, Gunfoundry, parts of Allabanda and parts of Ziyaguda, Tolichowki, Golconda, Humayun Nagar, Mehdipatnam, Kakatiyanagar, Vijayanagar Colony, Old Mallepally, Karwan, MES and parts of Serilingampally municipal circle.
Interviews for B Ed grads
Campus interviews for placement of B Ed (English) graduates will be organised by the English and Foreign Languages University for three days from April 9. The interviews will be conducted from 10 am to 5 pm at the university. Interested managements can contact Dr C Jangiah of university on telephone no 98493-13737.
Veer Naari rally
An ex-servicemen and Veer Naari rally will be organised by Army Artillery Centre, Golconda on April 4. Chief Minister K Rosaiah will felicitate Veer Naaris, battle casualties (disabled soldiers) among the ex-servicemen. Over 3,000 exservicemen from 10 districts are likely to participate in the event
