Director SS Rajamouli's latest Telugu movie Eega has done wonderful
business at worldwide box office in the first week of its release. The
most anticipated movie of the year has collected approximately Rs 52
crores nett at the worldwide Box Office in seven days.
This news is officially confirmed by executive of Suresh Productions
to a popular online news portal. As per him, the Telugu version has
collected Rs 27 crores nett which also include Rs 4 crores at
Karnataka box office. As Karnataka film chamber doesn't allow to
release dubbed version in Karnataka, Eega was released in Telugu all
over the state.
The performance of its Malayalam version 'Eecha' is not up to the mark
and collected approximately Rs 3 crores plus at the Kerala Box Office.
The Tamil version 'Naan Ee' has done good business and collected
approximately Rs 12 crores at the Tamil Nadu Box Office.
The movie was released in USA and UK, and has opened with good
response in both countries and collected nearly Rs 10 crores from its
Telugu and Tamil versions. With this the movie collected a nett of Rs
52 crore at World wide box office.
On the other hand, the makers of the film are releasing the movie in
20 more screens in USA.
